Roma 8:5 Sebab mereka yang hidup menurut daging, memikirkan hal-hal yang dari daging; mereka yang hidup menurut Roh, memikirkan hal-hal yang dari Roh. Kehidupan seseorang ditentukan oleh apa yang dipikirkan terus menerus di dalam pikirannya. Amsal 23:7 berkata: "as a man thinks in his heart so is he" Begitu dahsyatnya pengaruh pikiran kita terhadap hidup kita, oleh karenanya kita harus berhati-hati dengan apa yang kita biarkan masuk dan menguasai pikiran kita. Kualitas hidup seseorang diukur dari apa yang dia pikirkan. Firman Tuhan berkata, mereka yang hidup menurut daging berarti memikirkan hal-hal yang dari daging, sedangkan mereka yang hidup menurut Roh berarti memikirkan hal-hal yang dari Roh.
