PATIENCE

"Then, knowing what lies ahead for you, you won’t become bored with being a Christian nor become spiritually dull and indifferent, but you will be anxious to follow the example of those who receive all that God has promised them because of their strong faith and patience." (Hebrews 6:12)

Knowing what lies ahead of us will keep us from becoming bored with being a Christian nor become spiritually dull and indifferent.

Knowing what lies ahead of us will make us anxious to follow the example of those who RECEIVE ALL that GOD has PROMISED. Anxious doesn't always necessarily mean a negative thing. Paul said in Philippians 4, be anxious for nothing, which I can interpret as be without concern of anything that is of this world nor anything that is not from God. Anxious also means genuine concern. And we are to be genuinely concerned to follow the example of the man and woman of God who by their FAITH and PATIENCE, receive all that God has promised them.

We all know that faith is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen, it is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.

Faith is the foundation. Faith is the bridge. Faith is the assurance.

But what about patience?

Sometimes, perhaps most of us possess the faith, but we miss in developing the patience. Patience is often developed through times and is usually tested by means of troubles. We strengthen our faith by hearing of the Word, but we exercise our patience by waiting on the Lord.

Patience is the supplement. Patience is the pillar. Patience is the seal.

Let God grow your patience. And once it is perfected, you will be complete and needing nothing.

God answers our prayers not by giving us what we want, but by giving us what we need. And that is Himself.

God answers our prayers by giving us Himself.
